Students from our Expressive Arts Department brought the story of Elle Woods to life with confidence, colour and charisma, earning enthusiastic applause from families, friends and the wider community. The musical—based on the bestselling novel and the hit film—follows Elle as she defies expectations and discovers her own strength.
Vice Principal Anna Vickers praised the cast and crew, saying that our students “poured their hearts into this production,” demonstrating remarkable dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the process. She added that the show highlighted their ability to support one another and rise to creative challenges, and that the school is incredibly proud of their achievement.
The production followed months of hard work, with students perfecting choreography, harmonies and characterisation under the guidance of our talented expressive arts team. Staff described this year’s show as one of the most polished in recent memory, supported by a special primary school matinee performance which added to the excitement ahead of opening night.
Charlton School extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved—students, families, staff and members of the community—for helping to make Legally Blonde Jr. such a memorable success. As noted by Anna Vickers, the production stands as “a testament to the creativity, resilience and spirit of our students, and marks another proud moment for the expressive arts department.”
