COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 12 to 17 years of age
We have been informed that the second vaccination visit for Covid-19 will take place in school on Monday 17th January.
Dear Parents/Carers,
We have been informed that the second vaccination visit for Covid-19 will take place in school on Monday 17th January. On this day students can get their first or second vaccination doses.
Consent forms need to be returned to Student Reception by 9:00am on Thursday 13th January, at the latest.
Please find HERE a letter from the vaccination service and a copy of the consent form, Paper copies of the consent form are available from the school reception should you be unable to print a copy.
A couple of points to note prior to completing the consent form:
- Children must be 12 or over to have the vaccine
- Children now have to wait 12 weeks for a vaccine following a positive PCR test
- The second dose should be administered at least 12 WEEKS after the first dose
- If your child is Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV) or lives with someone who is CEV then the second dose can be administered at 8 weeks after the first dose
If you have any queries on the vaccination process, please email shropcom.immunisationteam@nhs.net and not the school.
Yours faithfully,
Mr A McNaughton
Principal
