Home Online Learning Sessions - Microsoft Teams
I hope you are well and thank you again for your continued support with the home learning. Further to my letter last week I am now writing to you with the details of the online learning sessions that teachers will shortly be offering via Microsoft Teams.
Dear Parent/Carer
I hope you are well and thank you again for your continued support with the home learning. Further to my letter last week I am now writing to you with the details of the online learning sessions that teachers will shortly be offering via Microsoft Teams.
All teachers have been asked to provide at least one home learning session for each of their teaching groups between Monday 15th June and Wednesday 15th July. These are to supplement the home learning that will continue to be set, and to provide students with the opportunity for face to face interaction with their teacher.
Alongside this letter you will also be able to find attached the following documents:
- Protocols that students must follow when taking part in live lessons. It is vital that parents/carers and students read these carefully as they are in place to safeguard the teachers and students taking part. Any students that do not meet these expectations may not be able to take part in any future online lessons.
Students will start to receive invites to online lessons from their teachers from Monday 15th June, so it is important that they check their school email account daily to accept any lesson invitations. The online lessons will take place within the time slots shown below and will last up to one hour. The lessons will also be recorded so that they can be viewed again, and for those students that could not join the lesson within the designated time slot. A link to the recorded session will be sent to each class following each session.
To co-ordinate the delivery of these lessons alongside the face to face sessions that will be taking place in school from 15th June for year 10 the sessions will take place in line with the timetable below (the timetable for the year 7 and 8 lessons is slightly different to the one you received last week).
Key Stage 3 students (Year 7 and 8) will not receive a live face to face session for the following subjects but will instead be sent a link to a recording they can watch at a time to best suit them.
- Religious Studies
- Technology
- Expressive Arts (Art, Dance, Drama and Music)
- Physical Education
Students in Key Stage 3 and 4 will also only receive one face to face Science lesson and not a lesson per subject (Biology, Chemistry and Physics).

Yours faithfully
