Charlton School

At Charlton, a significant number of opportunities are organised around our House structure. We have four houses: Birch, Willow, Sycamore and Hawthorn. The Houses are named after the trees which surround us in our impressive new building. As part of our offer, children take part in House competitions to raise the profile of local and national charities. I write with details about our upcoming house events and ask that you support them if you are able to.

Macmillan Bake Off 3^rd October

On 3^rd October, we are holding a bake sale at Charlton in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. We are asking students from all years to support this event by bringing in cakes to be sold to students at break time and at the Y7 Parents Coffee Morning. All funds will be donated to the Macmillan Charity to raise vital funds to help people living with cancer. If you are able to support this event by baking cakes or donating shop bought items for the sale, please send in any offerings with your child on 3^rd October and remind them to drop them at the tables just outside reception. House points will be allocated to students who have contributed to the event, either through offering a donation or supporting the organisation and running of the event.
