Return to school January 2022 re testing 10122021
I am sure you are aware of the concerns the government have regarding the spread of the new Omicron variant of Coronavirus.
Friday 10th December 2021
Dear Parent/Carer
I am sure you are aware of the concerns the government have regarding the spread of the new Omicron variant of Coronavirus. We have already seen additional measures imposed in school, such as the wearing of face masks in communal areas and on all transport, and additional measures for the general population. The new government guidance can be found at this link: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus
Coronavirus cases in Telford and Wrekin remain the highest in the West Midlands. The Local Authority are encouraging all our community to ensure they are fully vaccinated and have booked their booster vaccination. Further information from the Local Authority can be found at this link: https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/UKTW/bulletins/30013d4

Please take time to read our uniform expectations prior to our return to school in January. Please ensure children return to school in full uniform, including shoes and not trainers, and are aware of the need to always wear their blazer in the school building. School jumpers cannot be worn as a replacement for a blazer and there should be no hoodies or other sweatshirts worn at any time under blazers, including Charlton PE or Expressive Arts department hoodies.

A reminder that on Thursday next week we have a Christmas themed non-uniform day. Please can we ask that your child dresses appropriately for school, they should not wear crop tops or revealing outfits and please can we request no onesies. In addition, Thursday is also our Christmas lunch day.
Yours faithfully
