Year 10 students Thomas Howles and Kobi Lucas completed their Ice Hockey season for Telford Tigers U15’s recently in a single winner takes all promotion/relegation play-off against Coventry Blaze U15’s.

The Telford Tigers U15’s team had won the 2nd division a few weeks before, winning 20 out of 20 games, and securing an eleven point victory over their closest rivals. Tigers played teams from Manchester, Whitley Bay, Sutton in Ashfield, Sheffield and Solihull. They scored 212 goals in the process and only conceded 29 across the whole season making them one of a very few teams to go a whole season
un-defeated in any sport.

At the beginning of June, the Tigers managed to win a hard fought encounter against Coventry from the 1st division 7-3 and thereby secured promotion to division 1 for the 2019/20 season.

This is a massive achievement for the whole team and something that should be celebrated.  Additionally, Thomas, who is only in his second season as a player, was selected to play for a Telford Tigers select U16’s team in an international competition held in Solway, Scotland.
