Following our recent Ofsted inspection, we are pleased that the findings closely reflect our own evaluation and confirm that we are focused on the right priorities for improvement. The report highlights Charlton School as a safe, respectful and welcoming community, with positive behaviour, strong relationships and a well-established culture that supports pupils to thrive. Inspectors recognised our comprehensive personal development programme and the growing clarity of our vision, alongside the dedication of staff and strong support from families.
Whilst the report identifies areas to strengthen; particularly in ensuring consistently strong teaching and helping all pupils build and retain knowledge, we have already begun this work through improved teaching approaches, professional development and assessment. We are confident that, with the continued support of our community, we will build on these strong foundations and secure sustained, long-term improvements for every pupil.
