Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope this letter finds you well and that you are looking forward to the summer term ahead.
We are delighted to inform you that, following a rigorous two-day interview process, Mrs. Barton has been appointed as the new Principal of Charlton School. She excelled in every aspect of the selection process, which was supported by governors, trustees, staff, trust leaders, and—most importantly—our wonderful students.
Among a strong field of candidates, Mrs. Barton consistently demonstrated a clear and inspiring vision for Charlton, a deep passion for learning, and a thorough understanding of how best to support both students and staff. She brings with her a wealth of experience and a steadfast commitment to educational excellence. Her values align closely with those of Charlton and the Learning Community Trust, and we are excited about the future under her leadership. Everyone involved in the process is confident that she will be a fantastic addition to our school community.
Although Mrs. Barton will officially begin her role on 1st September, she will be spending time in school during the final term, particularly to support the transition from Year 6 to Year 7. She is very much looking forward to meeting her new Year 7 cohort and getting to know the wider school community.
As always, thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Mark Brown Chair of Governors, Charlton School
